Laser triggers on radar detector in 2024 RX500h?

Installed an old radar detector in my buddy's 2024 RX500h and it's going nuts with laser alerts, pretty much every few minutes. Does the RX actually emit anything from its safety systems that could be setting this off, like the parking sensors or front collision system? Just trying to rule out interference before blaming the detector.

I believe the RX500h does emit laser from its driver attention monitor as it's part of the safety tech and can definitely trigger false laser alerts on older detectors. You're not imagining it! Some cover the sensor or disable laser alerts to cut down the noise.

Modern cars like the RX500h throw out so much IR and radar noise from their safety tech, it's almost like radar detectors are useless now, it feels more like you're detecting your own car than anything on the road

The parking sensors themselves usually use ultrasonic waves, so they're less likely the cause, but the forward collision radar and lidar are prime suspects, just upgrade your detector really
