Counted all the speakers in my RX and came up short

Hey all, been poking around my 2024 Lexus RX 350 since day one because something didn't line up. Brochure says 17 speaker setup with Mark Levinson. I say I only found 11 that actually look like speakers. Maybe I'm not counting right? Some say tweeters and sub combos count double but even then, I don't see how they're getting to 17. Has anyone run into this before or know where the extras usually hide?

Absolutely, those Mark Levinson systems can be a bit tricky. Many of those "17 speakers" are actually dual-driver units that are counted separately but sit inside one housing, particularly in the dash and pillars. I encountered the same situation in a friend's RX. Have you taken a look at the A-pillars or the rear panels yet? That's typically where a few of the extra ones are tucked away.

Thank you! The dual-driver units make the math work, that's the piece of the puzzle I was missing. I haven't torn into the A-pillars yet but you can bet that's my project for this weekend.

I was in the same boat for a 2025 RX i'm looking at and the dealer was explain the sound system the number of speakers and praising how good it sounds. Did a quick count while he was talking and I was seconds away from calling him scammer and his reaction said that I wasn't the first one confused but this :) Took out his phone shined it towards the front speakers and low and behold, two speakers in one casing.

Ha! Confirms I wasn't the only one doing the math. The remaining speakers were indeed coaxial units in the A-pillars and rear doors. Have you found any specific EQ settings that really open up the sound stage?
